Shadow Flicker creates a strobing
or
pulsing affect
It combines with the rythm of the
noise
It can cause problems with concentration,
anxiety and stress
It can keep you awake
at night when
the moon is full around the full moon
Here is one person's description.
What I suffered was what I'd describe as motion sickness. The turbines at Boulfuich
are 3 miles (4.8km) from my office window and when the sun is shining on them they
are very bright. When they turn, the movement is particularly mesemerising and,
as the centres of some of the turbines are just below the horizon, the movement creates
a circular movemenet of my head as well as my eyes. This obviously is what makes me
dizzy and sick - like being sea-sick. The blades are fully visible on some turbines
but others "cut" the horizon - these are the worst for causing visual disturbance in
my experience. Because the view is framed, I have no escape from the motion, all
the turbines are visible right across the window-view, 15 turbines at 67m to tip
so they are not huge.
