This diagram shows the relative heights of places from the Dales in the west to the North York Moors in the east.
Between the Dales and the NY Moors the land is fairly flat,varying between 50 and 80 metres above sea level
Turbines 6 & 7 would be on the highest ground and would reach a height of approx 195 metres - over 110 metres above the surrounding area.
The turbines would dominate the landscape for miles.
The 9 proposed wind turbines are 125 metres high.
The blades are 41 metre radius and 82 metre diameter.
